SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE!

Severe Weather Alert

Update (see blue text) 11/17/14 1:15p - Severe Weather Notice: The National Weather Service forecasts low temperature around 32 degrees tonight, Monday, November 17, 2014, with low windchill of 24 degrees. Wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Tonight will be clear and cold, although slightly warmer than last night.
 
Anyone seeking shelter should contact 211info, reached by dialing 2-1-1. 211info will be available to identify shelter and warming center resources 24/7.

In addition to existing year-round facilities, the following warming center facilities are available:

Family Winter Shelter

16141 E Burnside Street, Portland (near 162nd  Avenue)
This is a walk-in facility. It is not necessary to call beforehand. No one will be turned away.
Dates: Seven nights a week throughout winter season
Hours: 7pm - 7am
Serves: Families with children under 18 and women in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy

Portland Rescue Mission

Additional beds available for winter shelter
Dates: Seven nights a week throughout winter season
Hours: Entry to year-round beds 5:45pm, winter beds 8pm
Serves: Adult males

SEVERE WEATHER TONIGHT!

Severe Weather Notice: The National Weather Service forecasts low temperatures around 30 degrees and wind chill at 25 degrees and below after 5pm. It's predicted to be very windy with an east wind around 30mph, and gusts as high as 39mph beginning Tuesday, November 11th. On Wednesday, November 12th there is a chance of rain before 11pm, then rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain. The expected low temperature is 32, with wind chill below 25 degrees after 8pm.
